Bobo Choses
Bobo Choses has developed into a staple in contemporary children’s wear. The brand, that has been around since 2008, has found their own aesthetics without ccompromising. Their design, styling and story-telling is on point and leads us into the playful and fun world of children. The fall winter 2019/2020 collection looks at the story of Benny Benson, the 13-year-old boy who designed the Alaskan flag inspired by the northern starry sky, back in 1927.
We were wondering if maybe the brand has found the key to eternal youth. Working in a former toy factory only two blocks away from the Mediterranean Sea, writing their own crazy children’s books that give meaning to their collections seems to be an approach that is working out very well for Bobo Choses.
But not only the creative side of the brand is key. No, they also focus very hard on keeping their production local and sustainable. 90% of We Cosmos production was made locally (80% Spain, 10% Portugal. 49,5% of the fall winter 2019 yarn used in the collection is organic and GOTS certified. For the baby’s they have managed to reach 70% GOTS certified cotton. For summer 2020 their share of locally made and GOTS certified yarns used will increase even further.
The brand is conscious of the importance of the environment and health problems caused by the chemicals used in the textile industry. For this reason they work with OEKOTEX certified suppliers in the dye and printing process, to make sure there are no harmful substances in their garments.
